2026 marks David Weekley Homes’ 50th year of operation as a national homebuilder. The privately-owned company was founded in Houston in 1976 and today builds in 19 markets across 13 states.
“Reaching 50 years is a reflection of the extraordinary people who make up David Weekley Homes,” Chairman and Founder David Weekley said in a press release. “From the beginning, our commitment has been people first — our customers, our team members and our community. As we look to the future, we remain focused on customer service, innovation and creating spaces where families can thrive for generations to come.”
The builder’s five-decade track record includes the creation of LifeDesign, a natural light home design technique, as well as a number of accolades including being the first homebuilder to achieve Triple Crown of Homebuilding — America’s Best Builder, the National Housing Quality Award and National Builder of the Year.
Additionally, through David Weekley’s CARE program, the builder has donated over $400 million to philanthropic causes.
“For 50 years, we’ve stayed true to our purpose of building dreams and enhancing lives,” Weekley added. “That commitment continues to guide us into the future.”
